The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the booking closing date for the FMGE December 2024 exam.

What is FMGE?

The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) in India. This licensing exam was introduced with the intention of maintaining uniform standards among medical professionals. FMGE assesses the knowledge and skills of foreign medical graduates who are either Indian citizens or hold Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) status, allowing them to practice medicine in India.

FMGE December 2024 Exam: Important Dates

The booking window for the FMGE December 2024 exam has already started on October 28, 2024. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 12, 2025. Candidates who have successfully completed their applications can download their admit cards by January 8, 2025.

Candidates can edit their applications from November 21 to 25, 2024. The final opportunity to rectify inaccuracies related to documents uploaded in the application is from December 27 to 30, 2024.

Check Your Eligibility for FMGE

To appear for the FMGE December exam, you need to meet certain eligibility requirements:

Citizenship/OCI status: Foreign medical graduates must be citizens of India or should be OCI (Overseas Citizens of India)

Primary medical qualification: Must hold an MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized foreign institution

Recognition: The qualification must be recognized under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956

Documentation: Must provide proof of completion of the medical program

Language proficiency: Must have achieved minimum score in a language proficiency test specified by the Medical Council of India (MCI)

Compliance: Ensure adherence to all eligibility criteria set by the MCI for FMGE 2024

You need to submit proof of your eligibility requirements at the time of application. Otherwise, your application will be rejected. The FMGE December exam results are expected to be released by February 2025.
